Disney Trip- Day 1

Today we traveled to Disney World!  Emily was super excited to ride on an airplane and did very well on the flight.  We are so lucky to have a direct flight from our area to Orlando- cuts down on a lot of headache (not having to change planes) and it's a cheaper airline-- we only paid $33/ticket each way for the airfare!  You certainly can't beat that! We packed up our things and headed out!

We left this little princess home with Granny and Grandaddy.  While I hated to leave her, we knew that she would NOT have a good time at all on this trip.  Audrey is a very routine-oriented girl...she likes her meals, naps, and bedtime at the same time, every day....and she is pretty inflexible about it!  I knew she would be in great hands with my in laws, and she would enjoy being the only grandchild for a change!

We arrived at the airport and then found the driver who would take us to the resort.  We stayed on property at the Polynesian resort.  It was beautiful!  We were greeted by guest relations staff and were given pretty leis to wear.  We quickly found our room and then it was off to the Grand Floridian hotel for dinner with Prince Charming, Cinderella, her stepsisters, and Lady Tremaine/ aka Evil Stepmother.  It was so much fun and you can see here that Emily LOVED meeting the characters!!

Then we headed back to the hotel and FELL into bed.  It was such a long day!  Emily slept super well in her bed and only woke up briefly through the night.  Day One- success!!
