March 2014

Another busy month has come and gone!  Emily enjoyed getting to take Snuffles, the class elephant, home with her a few times.  She also lost a couple more teeth this month- check out that adorable smile!!  I dressed up like the Cat in the Hat again, much to the delight of the children at both girls' schools.  We are having a great 2014 so far! :) 

February 2014

The girls have had such a nice month! We have had an incredible amount of winter weather, ranging from bitter cold to ice storms to heavy snow... needless to say, we've been home more than we've been anywhere else!  They have loved the special time to snuggle and drink hot chocolate and play in the snow.  They also both adored the Valentine's parties that were held at each girl's school. Emily had her annual friends party and sleepover to celebrate Vday and Paul and I attended a Bengals playoff game to celebrate his birthday.  It's been a great month!

Christmas 2013!

 The girls and Paul and I have had such a joyous holiday season- lots of parties and quality time together...it has been very sweet!  We've enjoyed our new puppy, Quincy, immensely and he and Katie seem to have an understanding of who is boss (it's definitely not Quincy).  We wish you and yours a very merry Christmas and a happy new year, too! :)

  Emily had a ballet performance of The Christmas Shoes... very moving!  Here she is, hamming it up for me beforehand. :) 

Christmas Eve, after church, we donned our matching jammies (year number 3 of these!) and got things ready for Santa!

These crack me up- typical reactions to Christmas morning, based off their personalities.  Emily is ready to go and pumped up...Audrey needs more time and maybe a cup of coffee?? :)

Emily is 5 Years 11 Months old!

Emily is having a great time adjusting to school and our new schedule.  Here's a glimpse into this month:


-We put sponge rollers in her hair one morning-- so crazy to see her with curls!

- Sweet girls before school one day.  

- Daddy came to school to talk about his job! Emily was SO very excited and wanted to show him off...it was totally precious!

- She saw someone in the mall wearing WVU clothes.  What can I say? She's a Herd fan for sure!

- She picked out her Halloween costume- Glinda the Good Witch from The Wizard of Oz.  She's pretty fabulous!

- She started piano lessons after school. 

- She got to bring home Cuddles, the class pet (a stuffed animal elephant).  She had so much fun including him in her afternoon activities!

- She went to her first football game and showed her school spirit, hung out with friends, and bought way too much candy at the concession stand. ;)

That's all.  Can't believe we're ONE MONTH from turning SIX!!

Emily is 5 Years 10 Months Old!

This month is FLYING by! I cannot believe we are getting so close to both girls' birthdays....someone slow everything down!!

- Emily began school this month.  I can't believe she is a kindergartener!!  She is so proud of herself and is doing very well- and we are proud of her too!

- She has spent almost every day of this summer swimming... check it out!

- She spent a lot of time with just me in the days leading up to school.  We played, shopped, had her first manicure/pedicure (she didn't love it...lesson learned!) We had lunches out, hung out with friends, and just enjoyed the time together.  The summer was over too quickly!

- Dance class has begun again- look at my pretty ballerina!

- We went to Disney on Ice and Emily had so much fun at the Pirate and Princess show.  We even went to a pirate themed birthday party and she loved getting to dress up.
