Audrey is 16 Months Old!

Today our precious Audrey Grace turned 16 months old! She is fast approaching my favorite age/stage of childhood and is getting to be so much fun!  Here's what life is like with her right now:

- she is talking more and more!  Now we have:
(new words in bold)
1. dada/daddy
2. dog (gog)
3. bye bye (die die)
4. play (pay)

6. boat (this one is so adorable- every time a barge goes by she starts telling us!)
7. night night
8. all done
9. more
10. mommy
11. snack (sounds like duck)
12. baby
13. uh oh  (said as she drops something, on purpose...again!) 
14. go
15. cup
16. shoes
17. pretty (she says this whenever she gets her hands on a necklace and wants us to put it around her neck- so cute!)
18. ball
19. open (as in, open a present!)

She is getting so good at words and I can understand what she wants a lot of the time.  Sure helps to cut down on the crying!

- she can show you her hair, tummy, toes, nose, and hands.

- she is walking almost full time now.  So cute to watch her go go go!

- her hair is very long when it's wet- down past her shoulders!

- she gives hugs, kisses, pats, and high fives.

- she is still taking 2 naps a day on days when we're home, but if we need to run errands or something she is able to skip one with no great problems.  Really nice to not have to be chained to the house all the time!

- she loves all her new Christmas toys.

- she got 3 new teeth this month, bringing the total to 12, I think!

- she had a black eye for a few days this month because she hit her eye with a toy microphone. Poor girl!

- she blows kisses to us now, only she gets the motion wrong and it looks like she's grabbing her mouth/ pulling the kiss toward herself instead of giving it away!
