Emily is 5 Years and 8 Months Old!

Emily is amazing us every day- new things all the time! Here's life this month:

- She is reading better and better each day.  Hard to believe she has been reading some words for well over a year now.  We are crazy proud of her. ;)

- She and Audrey are getting along much better these days:

- She helped me harvest the green beans we planted a few months ago.  They were delicious and the girls were so proud of themselves for growing their own food.  Now I just wish we had planted more!

-She started gymnastics class, which she really enjoys.  She can do a cartwheel almost perfectly now!

- They helped Granny and Grandadddy celebrate their birthdays this month:

- She holds daily dance parties:

- She lost her first tooth!

- She napped with me a few times (noteworthy since it hardly EVER happens!)

- She got to spend some time with Uncle Bill while we were on vacation:

- She got to be the pray-er at school (and her teacher snapped this pic for me!)

- She got to see Charlie boy.

-She visited a public pool for the first time every with some friends (that's Audrey in the pink bathing suit, a few weeks after her surgery.  So glad she can swim without us having to be so paranoid about accidental ingestion!)

Baby's first haircut!

We returned from the beach and decided that Audrey was in need of a healthy trim....introducing Audrey 2.0! ;)

Audrey is 2 Years and 9 Months old!

It's amazing how quickly another month has passed! Here's an update on our favorite younger daughter. ;)

- She is such a little Mommy to her babies.  Every single day she is carrying them, washing them, changing their diapers, feeding them, pushing them in strollers, etc.... it's non-stop!  Baby dolls are really the only toys she plays with regularly.  She adores them! (Except for this one day, when apparently her baby was so cute, she could eat him up?? Hahaha!)

- she can count to 12 with no mistakes.

- she is addicted to popsicles. (Even this one- at 7am!)

- she is completely healed from her laryngeal cleft surgery and can drink with NO GEL at all....did you understand what I just wrote? NO. GEL. AT. ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  We are BEYOND thrilled!

- she enjoyed every minute of our vacation and getting to swim and play at the beach.  She especially loved the airplane ride and asks every day when we get to go again!

- she loves going to gymnastics class and is doing really well learning all kinds of new tricks.

-She has been very silly lately-- telling us silly stuff to make us laugh and doing funny little things just for shock value.  Very entertaining!
