Audrey is 2 Years and 5 Months Old

We are almost to 2.5 years for sweet Audrey girl! Here's what's happening this month:

-We played outside when we could. We are SO TIRED of winter!! You can just see how much she loves being outside... all these cold days are MISERY around here!

-She tried to play with the big kids. ;)

-She continued to do a great job with pottying.  She always pees on the potty...we are working on going poo poo on it.. (more on this in a moment).

-I love this shot- Paul had just pulled in and she was abruptly turning to meet him-- she's completely diagonal! She sure loves her daddy. ;)

-"Sleeping" at Granny's house, haha!

-She routinely rips her clothes off at naptime.
-Eating an early-morning ice cream cone at Granny's house (BUSTED!!!)

-Watching the Lorax with sister-- she loves this movie and wants to watch it every single day.

 -Wearing a Big Girl Ponytail!

-Playing with Lena at school.

-Fresh and clean:

-Sleeping on her cot at school- she has gotten much better about this!
 -She steals babydoll pacis now.
-And sleeps with too many toys in her bed.

-Zonked out after the 3D movie.

-The Naughty Napper returns!

-We sent this pic to Daddy-- she has a "poopoo cake" in her hand...she wins a Little Debbie cake for every time she poopoos in the potty.  Sorry, Little Debbie! ;)

-Probably the most entertaining thing from this month-- the arrival of "MyBaby", an imaginary baby who lives in Audrey's hand (see?!?!)  She wears pink clothes, and eats chicken nuggets and green beans, and she goes EVERYWHERE with Audrey.  It is SO funny.  We love her imagination!

Emily is 5 Years and 3 Months Old!

Emily has had a great month- here's the rundown so you can catch up!

-She started swimming lessons, which she loves.  She's a natural!

 - We played outside every chance we got....which was almost no chances, but we did what we could!

- She had a Valentine's party for a bunch of girls from school- they had SO MUCH FUN with their manis, pedis, and new hairstyles!  And I had such fun hanging out with their mamas (and dad!)- thanks for helping me hold down the fort Jessica, Belinda, Jenny and Jeff!

-She got a big girl haircut at the salon:

-Got an adorable pillow for her bed when a friend changed her baby's name at the last minute. ;)

-She was THRILLED to dress like her sister for church (hahahaha.... so untrue.  The actual problem was the turtleneck [she HATES them], not dressing like Audrey).

-She likes dressing like Audrey- see?

-We spent a snow day at the theater seeing Monsters Inc in 3D.`1

-She climbed into Audrey's crib and cuddled her (many days- Audrey LOVES this!)

-visited our good friends in Columbus and got to hang out with Wynn!

-Played hard with Lila and Caroline and then crashed and watched a movie.

-Dressed herself in JEANS (this is HUGE, people!)
 -Tickled Audrey like crazy. :)

-Got a mini-mani at the salon on her haircut day. :)

Audrey is 2 Years and 4 Months Old!

Happy New Year, everyone!  Audrey turned 2 years and 4 months old today- here's what is going on this month:

-she speaks almost entirely in 3rd person-- "Audrey get Audrey's shoes on!",  "Audrey do it for you", "Audrey go pee pee now" etc.  It's adorable!

-She had an amazing Christmas and really seemed to enjoy all aspects of it.  She loved Tovey, our elf, Santa, going to church and singing Christmas carols- the whole nine yards.  It was a wonderful holiday season for sure!

- She stayed up all the way til midnight on New Years Eve.  It was incredible to see her keeping up with all the big girls who were at the party with us.  She went super hard until a little after 12, when we left-- then was sound asleep before we got out of the neighborhood, haha!

- she continues to love school, especially Miss Megan.  Every day that she goes she is always asking for her and usually when I pick Audrey up she is being held by someone (almost always Miss Sarah or Miss Megan).  We are so blessed to have such an amazing preschool for our kiddos- I love that my girls are being so well cared for and getting some great socialization in the process.

- she and Emily are learning to play together more often and it is precious to listen in on them.  Audrey got a Fisher Price Little People castle for Christmas and I think Emily likes it as much as Audrey does! I like to eavesdrop on them playing together-- some of the things they say are so sweet.

- she likes to help me cook in the evenings.  I usually give her a big plastic bowl and a wooden spoon and maybe some fruit in the bowl. It's fun to see how long it takes her to "cook" (and then eat!) all of her fruit!

- we haven't been able to go outside much but we did have a rare, warm day recently and it was SO nice to get outside.  Audrey had a great time with our neighborhood kids and walked home with sister and daddy.  Precious!

- she is getting better with colors-- most of the time she gets pink and purple and green correct.  Baby steps!

- she doesn't seem to love newborn babies (or at least, newborn babies who are being held by her mother).  Several of our friends have new babies and Audrey gets SO jealous when I hold one!

That's all the news for now-- check in on us soon for more fun! :)
